We are very sorry to have to postpone the ISHS Light symposium 2021. If you have already registered, you can keep your registration until next years conference. Should you want a refund, the registration amount will be refunded except for an administrative fee of SEK 750. Please contact the conference secretariat: firstname.lastname@example.org
Registration for the ISHS Light Symposium 2020 is now open. Please read the instructions carefully, before starting the registration.
All attendees requiring a visa to enter Sweden are urged to apply for a visa as soon as possible.
Registration rates include the following:
- Welcome reception on the evening of Monday, June 8
- Attendance to the Scientific Sessions
- Lunch and refreshments
- On-site meeting publications and materials
- One copy of the proceedings published in Acta Horticulturae
Offer for PhD-students: Dine with a researcher!
As a PhD-student you have the opportunity to win a free dinner with a researcher within your field of interest. Just tick the box in the registration form to enrol in the raffle and state which research topic you are interested in. Several PhD-student will have the chance to win a seat at the dinner! The offer is available for students who have registered and paid for the symposium.

According to Swedish legislation 25% VAT will be added to the registration fee. In some cases, however, it will not be necessary to pay VAT. See the information below.

According to Swedish legislation 25% VAT will be added to the registration fee. However, you do not have to pay VAT if you work in:
- A public sector governmental organisation (statlig myndighet) within Sweden (e.g., university, governmental agency). In this case you must choose Invoice (Swedish billing address only) as the payment mode and provide your VAT number.
Public sector governmental organisations within Sweden (e.g., universities, governmental agencies): No VAT
All other organisations/companies and private persons: VAT 25%
Participants from outside Sweden
Organisations and companies within EU with a VAT number: VAT 25%
Organisations and companies within EU without a VAT number, and all organisations and companies outside EU: VAT 25%
All private persons: VAT 25 %
Depending on the location of your organisation/company, VAT may be reclaimed from your home country upon your return from the conference. Please contact your local tax authority or other responsible agency for more information if it is possible to reclaim the VAT you paid and how it is done.
Visas should be applied for well in advance of your intended departure date. Please note that while we wish to assist our participants by providing the visa invitation letter, we do not contact the Embassy or Consulate on behalf of participants and we are not in a position to influence Embassy / Consulate procedures or decisions.
Participants can request an invitation letter from the ISHS Light Symposium communications committee (ISHSLight2020@slu.se) to use for visa application. The invitation letter will only be issued upon completion of registration and receipt of the full pre-payment of the registration fee.
If a participant’s application for visa is refused, the Congress Secretariat will refund the paid registration fees.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation of Registration
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the conference secretariat.
Cancellation of registration will be accepted until May 4th, 2020, up to which date the total amount will be refunded except for a cancellation fee of SEK 750. We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after May 4th, 2020, nor for no-shows for any reasons.
Cancellation of only separate activities or meals, is non-refundable.
Change of Name
Should you be unable to attend, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague in your place for an administrative fee of SEK 250.
